Statue Unveiling

Project Description

Ike Richman Communications handled all aspects of the unveiling of a nine-foot-tall bronze Ed Snider Statue outside of Wells Fargo Center, including run of show, media solicitation, and coordination. At the event, National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman joined Comcast Spectacor President Dave Scott, Philadelphia Flyers President Paul Holmgren, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, and members of Ed Snider’s family who will speak during the ceremony, which is free and open to the public. Snider was the founder and former Chairman of the Flyers and Comcast Spectacor.

The statue was unveiled on the 50th anniversary of the first-ever Philadelphia Flyers home game when the team made its debut at the Spectrum against the Pittsburgh Penguins on October 19, 1967. Nearly 1,000 attended the event which was featured on every media outlet throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region.
